Treatment of hyperhidrosis

How it’s done

VASER is a state of the art ultrasonic technology. Its effectiveness, low invasiveness and long-lasting effects make it applicable in many treatments for different body parts. The treatment is safe, short and does not cause any complications. We perform it under local anaesthesia. Hyperhidrosis usually reverses within a few days after surgery, so the results are noticeable quickly.

At first, the armpit area is filled with a special fluid that causes numbness of the area and shrinks blood vessels (to minimize blood loss and reduce bruising). This liquid cools and fills the treated area, making it easier for VASER to work. Then a small probe transmits the ultrasonic energy needed to break up the fat tissue. With the use of expert techniques, this energy concentrates on sweat glands, saving adjoining tissue. Finally, liquid fat and sweat glands are removed by a gentle aspiration process.
The patient recovers very quick and there is no need to stay in the clinic.

Mandala Beauty Clinic also offers treatment for hyperthyroidism with botulinum toxin (Botox): fast, but with a periodic effect. If you are looking for a lasting result, consider the VASER technology described above.

Scar reduction

HOW ARE SCARS FORMED?

Scar formation is a natural process of skin rejuvenation. They appear after all kinds of injuries like incisions or burns. The wound is filled with blood and a protective scab is formed. New living cells flow towards the site of injury to remove the dead cells. Then the cells of the connective tissue begin to produce a replacement epithelial coating using collagen.
There are many pharmacological therapies that are designed to accelerate healing and alleviate scarring, but they are not always effective.

The healing processes begin at the very moment of injury, but the scar can take the final shape even after a year! It depends on the type of injury, the place of injury, but also on the individual predisposition of the body.

HOW IT’S DONE

The method that gives you the best results depends on the scar itself. Consultation with a specialist doctor is aimed at selecting the optimal treatment for an individual skin problem.

Smaller scars, suitable for non-invasive treatment – are acne scars or, for example, stretch marks. Treatment involves the use of a series of treatments that are tailored to the needs of the patient.

At Mandala Beauty Clinic we offer the following methods:

  • Carboxytherapy or mesotherapy with carbon dioxide
  • Fraxel fractional laser
  • Skin needling

Treatments are non-invasive, painless and have a visible effect after the first visit.

Bigger scars generally require surgical intervention. This usually involves cutting out the skin lesion and re-sewing it. In this case, after approx. one week the stitches are removed and the patient is instructed to protect the scars with prescribed pharmacological agents. If the scar is concave, transplantation of adipose tissue taken from another part of the patient’s body helps. Such a transplantation smooths the surface of the skin and restores its aesthetic appearance.

Dermatological consultation

In our office, we conduct dermatological consultations in the fields of:
– diagnosis and treatment of skin diseases (acne, rosacea, seborrhoeic dermatitis, allergies and alopecia);
– evaluation of skin lesions (dermoscopic diagnosis),
– qualification for treatments and procedures to delay and prevent skin ageing processes,
– skin care.

We also recommend further treatment: removal of broken capillaries, removal of fibrosis and surgical and laser removal of skin lesions.

Closing the capillaries on the face using electrocoagulation

How it’s done

The method of electrocoagulation involves the use of alternating currents of high frequency. An impulse of current closes the blood vessels. The procedure is short, lasting approximately 15-20 minutes, and does not require anaesthesia. Following the procedure, the site may be irritated, which may persist for 2-3 days, but this usually disappears the next day.
The contraindications to electrocoagulation are: cancer, cardiovascular disorders, diabetes, pregnancy, and having a pacemaker. It is therefore advisable to perform the procedure in a professional doctor’s office where the expert will conduct a detailed interview with the patient.

Carboxytherapy Fenix

How it’s done

Carboxytherapy is, in other words, mesotherapy needle using carbon dioxide. The method uses the healing and regenerative effects of CO₂ by injecting it intradermally and subcutaneously, where no cosmetics are able to reach. The treatment stimulates the production of elastin and collagen. As a result, collagen fibres shrink and the skin is visibly firmer and more flexible. Additionally, the procedure delays the ageing process, increases blood and oxygen flow, thereby regenerating the skin. This is also a strong impetus for the body to build new blood vessels and delay the ageing process.

Indications

As a support during liposuction – it ensures lymphatic drainage and improves metabolism. Carbon dioxide fights fibrosis, thereby levelling, smoothing and improving skin elasticity.

Skin oxygenation – CO₂ enhances skin oxygenation and stimulates the formation of new blood vessels and blood circulation. Influences the lightening of the skin and imparting a fresh appearance.

Limb cramps – improved metabolism and oxygenation of the muscles positively affects these ailments.

Chronic venous insufficiency – carbon dioxide stimulates the microcirculation that oxygenates the vessels and cells. As a result, they strengthen and regenerate faster.

Circulatory disorders – carbon dioxide helps to neutralize the feeling of ‘heavy legs’ right from the first procedure. Improves blood circulation, oxygenation, rebuilds, strengthens vessels and cells.

Spider veins – carboxytherapy has great effects in the treatment of circulation problems – it stimulates the formation of new vessels while reducing the damaged ones.

Obesity – barotrauma during the administration of CO₂ damages fat cells. Weakened, they are reduced more easily, and the skin remains nourished and tightened.

Scars – their reduction due to carboxytherapy is painless and long-lasting. It is usually necessary to perform several treatments to the scar area in order to intensify the nutrition and synthesis of collagen and elastin.

Localized fatty tissue – carboxytherapy is recommended for people with unevenly distributed adipose tissue (sides, thighs, knees, buttocks, shoulders, stomach). The concentration of the therapy precisely in the treated area affects the efficiency of breaking up the adipose tissue.

Cellulite – an improvement of elasticity, elasticity of the skin occurs after the first treatment, because carboxytherapy is the only therapy that affects all factors concerned with the formation of the ‘orange peel’ syndrome.

Hand regeneration – dryness, harshness and flabby skin disappear due to fibroblast stimulation. Results are visible after the first treatment.

Stretch marks – intradermally injected carbon dioxide leads to the synthesis of collagen and elastin; the effect of disappearing stretch marks is quickly visible and long-lasting.

Lack of elasticity – the injection of carbon dioxide gives the body a boost to increase regeneration and production of collagen and elastin, which impacts our skin with the desired elasticity.

Skin loosening – skin loosening and loss of elasticity (after pregnancy or weight loss) is reduced by stimulating the nutritional processes and production of collagen.

Wrinkles – all kinds of wrinkles are smoothed out, and the effects are particularly visible in the case of wrinkles of the neck and on so-called crow’s feet.

Shadows under the eyes – treatment mainly involves the oxygenation of these parts of the face, so that the skin regains a radiant, healthy appearance. The effects persist for over 6 months.

Psoriasis – a series of carboxytherapy treatments – improves skin oxygenation in the scalp area. Improved blood circulation gets rid of psoriatic lesions.

Alopecia – carboxytherapy in combination with Mesotherapy Platelet Rich Plasma oxygenates and nourishes the scalp and stimulates hair growth.

Hair – improves blood circulation of the scalp, and thus the density of the hair, stops it from falling out. The hair regains a healthy and shiny appearance.

Fenix device used for carboxytherapy at Mandala Beauty Clinic allows for the precise and fast injection of carbon dioxide. Thus, the treatment is comfortable and risk-free to the patient. Fenix also allows for the injection of very sensitive places such as around the eyes and scalp.

Scarlet RF

HOW IT WORKS

Scarlet RF is a minimally invasive combination of a fractional laser, bipolar radio waves and a system of 25 electrodes in the for microneedles. The device ensures direct treatment of the epidermis and dermis, reaching the inner and outer layers of the skin (depth control precision between 0.5-3.5 mm). Thus the treatment takes place throughout the skin’s cross-section making it highly effective. At the same time, the patient is not exposed to side effects or long-term recovery. During the procedure, only minimal pain can occur, independent of the type of skin, with consecutive natural reddening that disappears after a few days.

Scarlet RF can also be used safely in the summer provided that the skin is appropriately protected after the procedure (UV creams are recommended during the 10 days following the treatment). It minimizes skin irritations on its surface, thanks to which redness is minimal, recovery is faster, and the method can also be used in sensitive areas around the mouth and eyes.

WHAT HAPPENS DURING PROCEDURE:

1. Skin firming, facial sharpening – V shape (smoothing out of the double chin and the effect of the so-called pouches).

2. Brightening by closing the pores and lightening the skin by stimulating fibroblasts.

3. Rejuvenation through stimulation of collagen production.

4. Acne skin regeneration and scar smoothing by frictional heat.

5. Effect on sebaceous glands – reduction of sebum secretion, elimination of skin pores.

6. The method is also used in the treatment of hyperhidrosis – fractional action reduces or completely eliminates excessive sweating.

Medical peels

How it WORKS

A medical peel consists of the application of properly selected chemicals onto the area, which results in exfoliation of the epidermis and superficial layers of the dermis. With these controlled lesions, skin regeneration is enhanced. The depth of the peel depends on the type of chemical used, the time of application prior to neutralization, the number of layers of the applied solution, the patient’s phototype and substances used before and after the peel. All these parameters are evaluated by the doctor according to the intended final effect. Chemical exfoliation can affect different skin levels. It can be very superficial, medium and deep.

In order to achieve satisfactory results, it is advisable to perform a series of treatments (usually 4 to 6 at 2-4 weeks intervals, with a single procedure’s time of approx. 30 minutes). After the peel, sunbathing and tanning is prohibited for at least 4 weeks. It is advisable to use sunscreen (a cream with UV 50+ filter). After the procedure, exfoliation may occur, its intensity depending on the type of chemical used. Peels may also be a good supplement or preparation for other medical aesthetic treatments – these combined treatments give the best results.

Types of medical peels in our clinic:

  • COSMELAN
  • TCA
  • RETINOL PEEL
  • PYRUVIC
  • ALMOND
  • SALICYLIC
  • GLYCOL

Platelet-rich plasma therapy

HOW IT’S DONE

With age, it is very important to properly care for the tissue of the skin, i.e. its regeneration. Blood platelets located in the tissues play a key role, amongst other things, in the process of renewal, ensuring firmness or maintenance of the smooth surface of the skin. In addition, they contain growth factors that are released upon activation of the platelets and cooperate in the regeneration and healing processes, constituting their important regulating element. This property is used in the platelet-rich plasma therapy: a concentrate of blood platelets and growth factors is prepared from the patient’s blood, which is then administered to the affected tissue to accelerate natural healing processes.

PLATELET-RICH PLASMA THERAPY (PRP)
IN THREE STEPS:

  1. Taking patient’s blood 20-40 ml
  2. Blood-centrifugation in the innovative GPS™ III device
  3. The GPS III system is used to separate platelets and to obtain platelet-rich plasma concentrate from a small amount of blood (max. 54 ml). Thanks to this innovative method, up to 9x concentration is achieved, allowing recovery of more than 90% of the platelets from the total volume taken. The platelet-rich concentrate which is used in mesotherapy is combined with previously obtained fat tissue and is used to fill wrinkles or used for autografts. It should be noted that the combination of platelet-rich plasma with own fat ensures the best adaptation of adipose tissue in the area of administration and minimizes the risk of subsequent absorption.

PRP platelet-rich plasma concentrate can be used in several facial and head skin treatment procedures: to improve its quality, to emphasize cheekbones, to restore lost volume, to fill deep wrinkles:

Lipofilling, i.e. wrinkle filling with own fat tissue in combination with platelet-rich plasma

Lipofiling with PRP guarantees permanent filling of grooves and wrinkles without the need to repeat the procedure a few months later, as is the case with other fillers. This is a treatment that gives the most spectacular results, making the skin more flexible, looking healthier and reducing the number of wrinkles. During one innovative procedure, you can achieve the effect of facelift, revitalization and permanent filling using your own fat cells. The optimal rejuvenating effect is visible after a few months and lasts up to 3 years (depending on lifestyle and skin care). It should be emphasized that the effect should be expected after ONE TREATMENT.

Face and head skin mesotherapy with platelet-rich plasma PRP

Three treatments are recommended for the treatment of scalp mesotherapy. The second treatment is possible after 3 months from the first one and the third treatment after one year after the second one.

Lipofilling (wrinkle filling) in combination with mesotherapy using platelet-rich plasma PRP

Lipofilling, i.e. wrinkle filling with own fat tissue in combination with platelet-rich plasma and a simultaneous mesotherapy treatment also from platelet-rich plasma, gives spectacular results. Deep wrinkles and grooves are filled, the skin is tighter and smoother to the touch, making the face look younger by a few years.

Mesotherapy

How it’s done

Mesotherapy is a medical procedure that involves intradermal injection of special pharmacological preparations and medicinal substances. The goal is to regenerate, improve the appearance and rejuvenate the skin. The treatment is also used to reduce cellulite, stretch marks and baldness (improvement of scalp condition). The use of the medicinal solution depends on the needs of the patient. They are generally mixtures of many revitalising and regenerating substances. Active substances should be selected according to the needs of the patient. Read more about the method on our blog

Treatments of this type are done in cycles and in most cases we have to do a few of them to achieve the desired effects. The therapy is prescribed individually by a specialist.

Fillers

How it’s done

The purpose of the procedure is to fill and smooth the furrows (eg. nasal-lip furrows, or characteristic braces that are located along the nose and the mouth).

Most dermatological fillers contain hyaluronic acid. In the human body, natural hyaluronic acid is responsible for the volume of the skin. Dermatological fillers have been slightly modified to withstand longer periods in the body than the natural ones. These products do not contain animal protein to reduce the risk of allergic reactions and the transmission of diseases of animal origin. And how is hyaluronic acid different from Botox.

No skin tests are required before the procedure. Side effects are minimal and may take the form of bruises, slight swelling, redness and irritation (lumps, itching, discolouration and skin sclerosis are very rare). Prior to the procedure it is recommended to avoid aspirin, non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs and high doses of vitamin E supplements as they may cause excessive bleeding and bruising.
The procedure is practically painless, as we use skin anaesthetics as a standard or, if necessary, perineural anaesthesia.
The effect is immediate and depending on the chosen filler, it remains visible for the next 6 to 12 months. The procedure itself is fast (only up to 20 minutes) and does not require recovery.
